Pharmaceutical Company Strategy

The pharmaceutical market simulation engine was developed over three years in response to a requirement from one of the worlds largest pharma companies.

The project was led by Ragnar Lofstedt, Professor at the King's Centre for Risk Management at King's College London. It models the critical factors that combine to influence the pharmaceutical market including market conditions, political dynamics, regulatory factors, reactions of competitors, adversaries, public, customers, partners, supply chain, NGOs as well as other concealed but also important factors.

The model is used to explore pharmaceutical market strategy in a live interactive environment. It has been used to test the validity of assumptions concerning strategy for:

  • Drug development portfolio

Operating faster, less costly clinical trials

Changes to funding in public health provisions

    Exploring collaborative projects

Assessing new marketing and distribution channels

Ethical application in relation to scientific research
